Get the inactive Survey Device from Cadet Shimmerfin, reach Nereus for MK I, then work through the sector NPC hand-ins and install the parts they award. Collecting a material, handing it to an NPC and installing a pillar component are separate steps.
This is the device and four-pillar route described in August 2026 reporting. It does not cover the complete final quest chain.
Reach the ship and repair the Survey Device
The reported entry route travels north past Castaway Cliffs to the ship marked The Deep. Speak with Cadet Shimmerfin for the inactive Survey Device, then descend to the city and reach Nereus for the MK I stage.
Use the device’s actual state to choose your starting point. An inactive device belongs at the repair stage; MK I belongs with the sector work below. The route is described in Patch Crazy’s August 10, 2026 guide.
Match each sector’s materials to its NPC
Work through one sector at a time. Give its materials to the named NPC, collect the awarded component, then install that component in the corresponding sector’s pillar.

The material sets follow the August 10 guide linked above and Roblox Den’s The Deep guide, which had no stated publication date when consulted on September 8, 2026. They are a dated checklist, not a later-patch guarantee.
Keep similarly named materials separate
Read the entire name before marking a requirement complete:
- Bio-Fluid and Abyssal Bio-Fluid are separate entries.
- Prism Scale and Radiant Prism Scale are separate entries.
- Salvage Scrap and Refined Scrap are separate entries.
- Bone Shard and Ancient Bone are separate entries.
- Chitin Plate and Hardened Chitin are separate entries.
Do not combine those names into a single total. For example, the 1P-2 Bio-Fluid row does not replace the Abyssal Bio-Fluid row in 1P-1.
Record the hand-in and the installation
A finished material list is not an installed pillar part. Use four separate checks for each sector:

The dashes are blank entries for your own notes, not progress reported by the game. Record the component and pillar together so that returning to an NPC does not become a substitute for the installation step.
If a later quest is still locked
Do not use this four-pillar checklist as an all-clear for every later task. The complete Master Relay requirements and final Tinkerer prerequisites are not established here, and an MK II milestone is not proof that every main quest is finished.
As an optional check, revisit any unfinished dialogue you can see with Curator Lyra or Nereus. A community discussion consulted on September 8, 2026 includes reports of missed follow-up conversations; its publication date is not established here. This is a possible diagnostic check, not a guaranteed unlock or a reason to craft every rod, harpoon and spear.
